Listening to my gut
Listening to my gut. The advice that well -meaning friends and family give for so many situations.
This weekend, I applied their advice. I chose three new pens and inks based on what “felt right.” Without regard for specific characteristics like nib size or pen size. Let my own subjectivity take the proverbial wheel.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
Last week’s palette lives on — mostly. The collection of pens, nibs, and inks is already well-balanced. Why try to fix what isn’t broken.
I do, however, need a new daily driver. And I inked a new wild card — for the fun of it.
Finding happiness in old ink loves
All three new inks are long-time favorites. Old loves. Classics within the mnmlscholar collection. Heck, Aonibi is my all-time favorite blue ink. Joy is the point, after all.
Three small corrections to keep balanced
Last week’s collection of pens and inks collaborated well together. Having a bright accent and a dark accent (in a wider nib) proved useful — and fun. A working system is worth keeping. So I am keeping last week’s pens mostly intact — with three tweaks.
