Finding your joy, a mnml digest
A curated journey through five articles, posts and podcasts that are speaking to me this week. Pulled widely from a week’s worth of reading; and in ten sentences or fewer. A fun means of reflecting on the blogs I regularly read in a way that spreads the link love.
This week: Finding your joy is a creative tourism. Reimagine what you already have. Take time to visit wherever and with whomever holds you up like you’re a visitor.
an ode to cheap pens: faber-castell grip fountain pen (A Fleeting Ripple). Treasured pens from childhood become great vehicles for spreading the fountain pen love. Joy through sharing what made you happy.
Exploring Custom Nibs: Custom Nib Studio “Perspective” Grind (The Gentleman Stationer). Then there’s adapting what you already have to suit your preferences. Snagging a new perspective (puns).
5-year anniversary (Rachel’s Reflections). For me, recreating my expectations is effective, too. Hobbies should work for me — sans guilt.
A Teen’s View of Social Media in 2022 (Cyberbullying Research Center). Then again, surrounding yourself with an uplifting crowd makes all the difference. Makes me smile to hear our stationery community helping someone else as much as it helped me.
Twenty Reasons for Being (The Marginalian). Which drives home that finding joy is a collaborative effort. A “fantastic argument of being alive” (last sentence of the linked post).

Note: This is an experimental post. I’m playing with a creative way to share links on a weekly basis. Future posts may look quite different. Thoughts are quite welcome!
