A mnml Digest: Less can be more
A curated tale through five links to articles, posts and podcasts that are speaking to me this week. Pulled widely from a week’s worth of reading; and in ten sentences or fewer. A fun way to reflect on the blogs I regularly read in a way that spreads the link love.
This week: less can be more. Intentional curation is about finding the right combination, not the right amount. And that sweet spot will evolve over time.
Do Less (Hidden Brain). Subtracting (simplifying?) is a legitimate pathway to solving problems. Subtracting is also a journey I’m undertaking with how I prepare my teaching.
Enjoying a (Sometimes) Expensive Hobby Amidst Economic Uncertainty (The Gentleman Stationer). A minimalist mindset is, for me, about making purposeful choices. If a pen or notebook or teaching activity is working, it stays — if not, set it aside so those that do work have more space to grow.
currently inked ii (Ink Sharks). For example, revisiting a bottle of ink you already have. Or a pen whose imperfections make it sing.
Changing Preferences (Goodwriter’s Pens). I need not simplify all at once — which can feel daunting. Tweaking to accommodate the many ways my preferences change over time can lead to fun new pathways into enjoying writing.
another day, another notebook: clairefontaine velvet paper (A Fleeting Ripple). Especially when I take the time to sit with the substance of what I already have.

Note: This is an experimental post. I’m playing with creative ways to share links on a weekly basis. Future posts may look quite different. Thoughts are quite welcome!
