The stumbles are the journey, a mnml digest
A curated journey through five articles, posts and podcasts that are speaking to me this week. Pulled widely from a week’s worth of reading. Shared in ten sentences or fewer. A fun means of reflecting on the blogs I regularly read in a way that spreads the linky love.
My reading this week has me reflecting on how often unintentional mistakes lead to serendipitous discoveries. I cannot control whether all of my tasks are seen to in a day — despite my fancy-pants planning. Accepting that as much joy comes from what I stumble into as what I plan my way into.
The Book I Wish Every Policymaker Would Read (The Ezra Klein Show). Even well-meaning, thoughtful intentions can lead to poor practices. I do this when I feel obligated to journal regularly — rather than when I can.
“Can I Keep This?” (From The Pen Cup). Remaining open to new ideas, and new pens, in even the most mundane of places.
sun’s out: no review (A Fleeting Ripple). Taking advantage of great weather to scribble, journal, and adventure with family outside.
What’s This Collecting Lark? (Goodwriter’s Pens). Allow the collections that manifest to be. Inquire and interrogate them, sure, but let what sparks joy continue to do so.
Three Chinese Extra-Fine Fountain Pens (An Inkophile’s Blog). A case in point: Instagram and YouTube wanderings led me to the Jinhao 82. Three, in point of fact.
