A mnml Digest: Records we make
A curated tale through five links to articles, posts and podcasts that are speaking to me this week. Pulled widely from a week’s worth of reading; and in ten sentences or fewer. A fun means of reflecting on the blogs I regularly read in a way that spreads the link love.
This week: journals as record-keeping. Records we make. Records we compare. And records we revisit.
I don’t keep any notebooks (Stationery Pizza). Journaling can be for later reference. It can also be just for the moment your pen is on paper — think “morning pages.” Why keep your old notebooks if you write for the latter?
inkxperiment: TAG Kyoto — kyo-no-oto imayouiro (inkxplorations). Do journals of sketches and paintings belong to a separate third category? How about sketches of moments you love to remember?
ReThink the Internet: How to Make the Digital World a LOT LESS SUCKY (Cyberbullying Research Center). I feel slowing down to write is worthwhile across all three types of journaling. And even when simply talking to one another.
Second Year Anniversary (Inkcredible Colours). My favorite form of journaling is a reflective history, overlapping events from my life with more analytic writing. History still in the making.
Stonewall 50: Prelude to a Riot (Making Gay History). But then again, some histories are important to revisit.

Note: This is an experimental post. I’m playing with a creative way to share links on a weekly basis. Future posts may look quite different. Thoughts are quite welcome!
