Balancing my writing process, a mnml digest
A curated journey through five articles, posts and podcasts that are speaking to me this week. Pulled widely from a week’s worth of reading; and in ten sentences or fewer. A fun means of reflecting on the blogs I regularly read in a way that spreads the link love.
This week: My writing process is a two-sided coin. One side is what, and when, I share out to my support network. The other side is about finding a healthy headspace.
How Can Teachers Improve Their Teaching? Watch Colleagues Teach (Part 1) (Larry Cuban). Playing out a balanced process can feel like wasted energy because, importantly, striking the right balance between both sides takes time — and resources — of its own.
Finding Stillness and Embracing Imperfection (From the Pen Cup). Often, healthy writing asks me to work sideways — writing outside of the project I want to get done-did. A counterintuitive balancing act.
In Triplicate (Revisionist History). But efficiency is different from effectiveness. Redundancy and repetition are assets if used smartly.
Consumption is underrated (CJ Chilvers). A healthy headspace is its own balancing act between creating and consuming — both are valuable and important. Smart.
A Secret Between Gentlemen (NOTCHES). Mostly, I learn from insights into others’ processes. Especially on topics near and dear to my heart.

Note: This is an experimental post series. I’m still playing with a creative way to share links. Future posts may look quite different as I continue to tinker. Suggestions are quite welcome!
